Funeral services were held Monday at the Burrton Mennonite Church, Burrton, for Henry L. Regier, 87, a retired farmer and carpenter of Burrton, who died last Friday in an auto accident east of Buhler. He was killed when the car he was driving struck the rear end of a semi-trailer truck near Buhler. Reno County sheriff’s officers said the truck driven by David Greathouse, rural Buhler, was attempting a turn into a private drive when the trailer became highcentered in the roadway. Both vehicles were eastbound on Dutch Avenue, 1.3 miles east of Buhler when the accident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. A native of Russia, Regier married Lizzie Ratzlaff at Moundridge in 1923. She died in 1965. He is survived by two sons, Milferd M. and Vernon H., both of Liberal; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Karst, Russell; on brother, three sisters, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
