Henry Regehr

Henry Regehr was born in South Russia in the village of Sparau, May 10, 1869. In 1977 he migrated to America together with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aron Regehr and settled in McPherson county, Kansas. June 14, 1891 he was baptized by Reverend Henry Toews and accepted into the Bethel congregation. In 1892, November 29, he was united in marriage to Helen Thiessen and to this union five sons and five daughters were born. One daughter and one son preceding him in death. He suffered long from rheumatism and last winter complications set in that required the attention of physicians.

Monday, July 22, 1929, he was taken to the Halstead hospital where a diagnosis proved him to be afflicted with heart trouble. July 29, 1929 at 4 p. m. he breathed his last.

He attained the age of 60 years, 2 months and 10 days. He is survived by his wife, 8 children, one son-in-law, 4 daughters in-law, 19 grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters, 2 half sisters and a host of friends and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held from the Inman Mennonite Church today (Thursday), August 1 at 2 p. m. — Inman Review.
