(MRS.) AGNES REDEKOP

Agnes Redekop was born the daughter of John P. Wiebes of Ignatewka, South Russia on May 28, 1897. A few years later, in 1904, the family moved to Canada settling at Main Centre, Sask. Here she found peace and assurance of salvation through Christ and was later, at the age of 17, baptized upon her confession of faith and accepted in the Mennonite Brethren church. In 1918 she was married to Jacob F. Redekop who predeceased her by five years and nine months. She was privileged to live in happy wedlock for 41 years during which time her husband enjoyed a rich ministry teaching and preaching while she loyally and faithfully supported him in the home.

During her husband's later ministry the family lived in Clearbrook where she continued to have a comfortable home following her husband's death. In her later years she enjoyed serving her family who were nearby. She also made dolls clothes and childrens articles to send to missionaries' children and native children overseas. After an illness of five months she went to her reward on February 25, 1965. She is survived by two brothers; three sisters; three daughters, Mrs. Abe Wieler, Mrs. Wesley Hoff, Mrs. Neil Toews; and three sons, Paul, Ernie, and John.
