PIONEER SETTLER, 93 YEARS OF AGE, DIED AT FAIRVIEW, OKLA.

Hillsboro, Kansas. — Word has been received here of the passing of Bernhard D. Ratzlaff, 93, former Hillsboro resident and pioneer of the Fairview, Okla. vicinity. Funeral services were held at the South M. B. church of Fairview.

Mr. Ratzlaff came here from Poland at the age of 15, and formerly operated a blacksmith shop in Hillsboro. When the Oklahoma territory was opened, he made a run on the Cherokee Strip and staked a claim south of Fairview.

Three daughters and five sons survive him.
