EMMA RATH

Emma Marie Rath, 12, of Goessel, Kan., died April 23, 2003, in an automobile accident, which also killed her mother, Linda. She was born Sept. 14, 1989, to michael and Linda Rath in Tacoma, Wash., a twin to her brother Kris.

Her family moved to Goessel in 1998, and she was a sixth grader at Goessel Elementary School.

She enjoyed Sunday school, Venture Club and singing in the Echoes Choir. She enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. She loved animals. Her cats were special to her, and she was proud of her 4-H project goats. She enjoyed the farm, especially feeding the baby calves. Her favorite playtime was with her dolls.

Survivors include her father, Michael Rath of Bremerton, Wash.; a sister, Maggie; two brothers, Shawn and her twin brother, kris; a grandmother, Linda Friesen Deasy; and her mother's fiance, Brian Kaufman.
