MRS. MARIE RAHN

Marie Rahn, daughter of John and Sarah Schultz Adrian, was born at Mountain Lake, Cottonwood County, Minnesota on Sept. 18, 1894. she received her education at school District 32, Mountain Lake, and also the Mountain Lake Bible School.

On May 24, 1915, she was baptized and upon confession of her faith, was received into the First Mennonite Church by Rev. Jacob Stokes.

She was married to Jacob G. Rahn on June 14, 1918. After their marriage they farmed in the Mountain Lake area until 1948 after which time they retired and moved to town. Marie took a great interest in sewing clothes for relief fields.

She had been in failing health since October of 1969 and was hospitalized occasionally for her illness. She was again admitted to the Windom Area hospital on Jan. 27 of this year and was confined there until her death. She passed away Feb. 10, 1972, at the age of 77.

She leaves to mourn her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Olga Rahn; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jacob, and a daughter, Frieda, both in infancy; and three brothers.

Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at the First Mennonite Church of Mt. Lake, with Rev. Harold D. Thieszen and Rev. Paul Kliewer officiating.
