ABRAM QUIRING

Maria Quiring, was born on May 16, 1894 at Bingham Lake, Minnesota, into a family of 12 children. In 1913 his family moved to Herbert Sask. In 1915 he was baptized in the Ensz School District under the ministry of Rev. Franz and Elder Sawatsky. On March 1 1925 he was joined in marriage to Justina Kroeker, a marriage blessed with three children. He worked in Swift Current, then in Saskatoon, and later farmed in Waldheim, Sask. In 1942 he moved to Abbotsford with his family and in 1947 onto a farm at Matsqui. The family fellowshipped there with the Matsqui Mennonite Brethren Church. Since 1959 he had resided in Clearbrook and fellowshipped in the Baker view MB Church. He went to be with the Lord on September 11 in his 80th year. He died with the confidence that his sins were forgiven and that the Lord was truly his Shepherd.

He is survived by his wife Justina; two daughters, Elsie, at home, and Susan and her husband Peter Willms of Abbotsford; a son, Frank and his wife Erna of Clearbrook; three grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
