YOUNG MAN LOSES LIFE IN HUNTING ACCIDENT NEAR FREEMAN, S. D.

Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services were held at the Freeman College auditorium on Monday, Nov. 18, for Andrew Pullman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pullman, who lost his life in a hunting accident about eight miles west of here on Friday, Nov. 15.

Young Pullman and his companion, Reuben Schmidt of Menno, had been hunting pheasants. Pullman was attempting to put two pheasants into the trunk of his car when the trunk lid fell and struck the gun which he was holding in his hand, causing it to fire. The charge stuck him in the head.

This was the first fatal hunting accident in this vicinity for many years.
