Jacob Carl Preheim

Monroe, Wash. — Jacob Carl Preheim, 75, died rather suddenly at the home of a nephew, Ed Preheim, in Florence Acres, Tuesday at about 11:30 p.m. Advanced age was given as the cause of his death, although he had been quite active up until the last.

Funeral services were held a\On Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Mennonite church, with Rev. J. S. Maddox officiating. E. E. Purdy and Sons, Inc., had charge of funeral arrangements. Interment was made in the Monroe cemetery.

Surviving the decease are a sister, Mrs. Mary Stucky, Kingman, Kansas, and Mrs. Fannie Flickinger of the same place, a half-sister, Lizzie Preheim, also of Kingman, three brothers, Joe, Peter, and John, of Kingman; two half-brothers, Jonas and Henry Preheim, also of the same place. William Preheim, the only son, lives in Monroe. Four grandchildren also living in Monroe survive.

Mr. Preheim was a native of south Russia and was born on August 31, 1858. He has been a widower for several years. — Contributed.
