14-MONTH-OLD BOY DIES UNDER WHEELS OF MILK TRUCK
Steinbach, Man. — Little Gerald Plett, 14-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter E. Plett of Landmark, died under the wheels of a heavy bulk-tank milk truck on the Plett farmyard June 3.
The boy apparently went under the truck to play while it was being loaded. The driver, unaware of the boy's presence, drove off and did not learn of the tragedy until later.
