MINNIE PETERS

Minnie Peters was born Oct. 29, 1870, and died May 23, 1950, aged 79 years, six months and 26 days.

She taught school 14 years, and then married Leandas Bowman May 15, 1908. They lived in Chatham, Ont. until the death of her husband, who died suddenly April 1, 1912. She married Samuel Gearig Dec 9, 1916, and lived at Wauseon, Ohio, until his death on Oct 31, 1927.

She married C. R. Peters on Dec. 29, 1929, and lived at River Styx, Ohio until her death. After C. R. Peters’ death on Dec. 10, 1937, she maintained a rest home for aged people for a number of years, as long as her health permitted.

She was converted and joined the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in March 1912, and remained faithful until the end of her life.

She is survived by one sister, Maggie Leatherman of Goshen, Ind. and one brother, J. H. Leatherman of Wadsworth, Ohio; three cousins, 16 nieces and nephews, and a large number of other relatives and friends. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.

Services were conducted Fri- [sic following line repeated in original] church by Min H. B. Fricke, assisted by Abe Good and Mose Horst. She was laid to rest in the church cemetery. The texts were Rom. 6 22-23, 7:24-25; I Cor. 15:55, 57-58.
