PHYSICIAN, CHURCH WORKER CALLED BY DEATH AT WINNIPEG

Winnipeg, Man. — Funeral services of Dr. John A. Peters, Winnipeg physician who was also active in church work, were held April 18 at the First Mennonite Church here. He died suddenly at the age of 38, shortly after completing an operation at Concordia Hospital.

A native of Russia, Dr. Peters came to Canada at the age of 10. He was active in youth work of the congregation here and was president of the Mennonite Educational Society, which is planning to open a second Mennonite high school in Winnipeg next fall.

Survivors include his wife, three children, and his mother, Mrs. J. J. Siemens of Winkler.
