HENRY PETERS

Henry Peters, 77 year old pioneer of Mountain Lake, Minn., passed away there on Oct. 21, 1946, at the Bethel hospital.

Mr. Peters, a member of the Mennonite Brethren church, was a great favorite at the Home for the Aged. He was an enthusiastic fisherman and often supplied the others in the home with fine fish dinners. He was also one of those who took an active interest in the Home, willing to lend a helping hand to odd jobs of repair.

Mr. Peters became very sick on Sunday morning, Oct. 20. He soon lost consciousness and passed away Monday noon. Bro. Peters was the father of 13 children, nine of whom are still living. Four of the nine are now standing ministers of the Gospel, three in the Baptist church and one in the Presbyterian church.

Funeral services were conducted in the M. B. church of Mountain Lake Oct 24 with the pastor, Rev. Dan Friesen officiating.
