RUDOLPH PENNER

Rudolph Penner was born August 8, 1906, at Hillsboro, Kansas and passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1956.

He entered school in Marion County, Kansas. In 1916 he and his parents moved to Inola, Okla. to make their home. After living there ten months his father died. Being the eldest child, much of the family responsibility fell on him.

On June 22, 1924, he was baptized upon his confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour, and joined the Eden Mennonite church, Inola, of which he was a faithful member until his death.

On June 25,1929, he was joined in holy wedlock to Maria Enns. They shared 27 happy years together. Their marriage was blessed with two children. His parents and one sister, Olga, preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Maria; a daughter Dorothy, Mrs. Charles Griffin; a son, John Wayne; one grandson, Michael Wayne; five brothers, Albert of Inola, John of Coronado, Calif.; Herman of Wichita, Kansas, Wallace of Siloam Springs, Ark., Jakie of East Moline, Ill.; one sister, Linda, Mrs. Abe Enns of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law, and many relatives and friends.

Rev. G. B. Regier, Inola, and Rev. Homer Sperling, pastor of the Eden Mennonite Church, Inola, brought messages of comfort to the bereaved. interment was made in Eden Mennonite cemetery.
