Early-Day Cordell, Okla. Resident Dies at Age 78

Corn, Okla. — Funeral services for Mrs. Pete Penner, 78, an early day resident of the Cordell community, were held April 13 at the Bible Mennonite Brethren Church there. Rev. Allen Fast, the pastor, officiated.

Mrs. Penner died at the home in Cordell on April 10 after suffering a heart attack.

With her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Perring, she moved to the Cordell area from Enid in 1892. Her marriage to Pete Penner took place at Chickasha in 1901. They lived at Alva from1901 to 1914, and then moved back to the Cordell community. They moved to town about 15 years ago.

Mrs. Penner had been a mmber [sic] of the Mennonite Brethren church since 1906. Survivors in addition to her husband include four sons, seven daughters and a number of grandchildren.
