Funeral services for Jacob Martin Penner, 86, were held at the Church of God in Christ of Greenland on Oct. 28. He was born in the Greenland area and lived on a farm all his life until his retirement. He was a deacon in the church. He leaves to mourn his wife, seven daughters and eight sons. He was blessed with 82 grandchildren and 76 great-grandchildren. He was laid to rest in the nearby cemetery. His younger brother, John M. Penner was buried here about three weeks earlier.
