HENRY A. PENNER

Henry Penner was born in Southern Russia on August 20, 1886. In his youth he accepted the Lord as his personal Saviour was baptized and became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

On August 27, 1911 he was united in marriage with Maria Enns. To this union were born four sons and four daughters.

He and his family emigrated to the United States in 1921, where they lived for five years. In 1928 they moved to Domain, Man., and several years later to Sperling, Man. where he farmed for 15 years. Then they went to Winnipeg where he pursued his trade as a carpenter. They retired to Stein- bach, Man. While there, the Lord called his beloved wife home, a year after they had celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

In May 1963 he married the former Mrs. John Boese of Port Rowan, Ont. They moved to Port Rowan, and the Lord blessed them with 11 happy years together.

On October 5 the Lord called him home He was predeceased by his first wife, two daughters and one son. He had unwavering trust in God, integrity and determination that helped him conquer many difficulties in life.

Left to mourn his departure are his .beloved wife; three sons: Henry of London, Ont., Peter of Winnipeg, Irvin of Newton Man.; two daughters: (Mrs.) Mary Krahn o Victoria and (Mrs.) Louise Banman of Winnipeg; three daughters-in-law; two sons-in law; his second wife's two sons and six daughters; 65 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren, one sister and one brother.
