GUSTAV E. PENNER

Gustav E. Penner was born May 12, 1884, at Warnau, Germany. His parents were Heinrich and Marie, nee Penner. His father passed away in Gustav's early childhood.

He came to America together with his mother, two sisters and two brothers in 1891, and received his education in the grade and high school, Beatrice, Nebr. On Pentecost in 1902 he was baptized upon his confession of faith in the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour by Elder Gerhard Penner.

Most of his life was spent on the farm. He had been suffering from a heart ailment since 1945. He came to the Mennonite hospital, Beatrice, on Oct. 29 and received loving care here until he passed away on Nov. 12. He reached the age of 65 years and six months. He leaves at his departing one sister, one brother, nephews and nieces, many other relatives and friends.
