— Relatives here have received word that Mrs. Elizabeth Penner, 62, died Jan. 7 in Portland, Oregon. She was the former Elizabeth Baumgartner, sister of the late Paul Baumgartner of North Newton. The Baumgartner family formerly lived in the Garden Township community west of Newton. Mrs. Penner's marriage to Frank Penner occurred in 1917. An only son, Dr. Ralph Penner, is now stationed in Germany and returned to this country for the funeral which was held at Portland.
