MENNONITE BRETHREN MINISTER OF SWIFT CURRENT, SASK. DIES
Swift Current, Sask. — Approximately 600 persons attended funeral services at the United Mennonite Church here for Rev. C. C. Penner, well known Mennonite Brethren minister who died recently at the age of 68. Death came unexpectedly as he was eating lunch.
Ministers taking part in the services included Rev. F. J. Peters, Rev. H. F. Klassen, co-worker with Rev. Penner at the Reinfeld M. B. church. Rev. E. J. Lautermilch and Rev. J. J. Thiessen.
Rev. Penner was the father of Katie Penner, missionary to Africa now on furlough.
