BERNHARD PENNER

Bernhard Penner was born Jan. 29, 1894, the son of Andreas and helen (nee Reiemer) Penner, at Beatrice, Neb.

He received his education in the local public school and the Mennonite Parochial school.

In 1912 he was baptized upon the confession of his faith by Elder Gerhard Penner.

He was united in marriage with Helen Zimmerman on Feb. 7, 1929. They made their home on a farm northwest of Beatrice where he lived until his death. Two sons were born into this home, Bernherd [sic Bernhard] Jr. and Gerald.

He experienced ill health in 1934 and since then had experienced periods of good health and poorer health. In recent weeks he had been confined to the Mennonite Hospital.

He answered the call of his Heavenly Father on July 31, 1955.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, two sons, Bernhard jr. and Gerald, one sister, Marie, and many other relatives and friends.
