BURNS PROVE FATAL TO 17-YEAR-OLD PENNSYLVANIA GIRL
Lancaster, Pa. — Second and third degree burns sustained in her home proved fatal recently to 17-year-old Verna Peiffer, daughter of Willis and Mary (Rohrer) Peiffer of Route 1, Manheim.
While alone in the kitchen her dress sleeve brushed across a hot stove burner, setting her clothing afire. She was severely burned by the time her mother could put out the flames.
Funeral services were held at the East Petersburg Mennonite Church.
