Mrs. Lydia (Hartzler) Peachey

Mrs. Lydia (Hartzler) Peachey, aged 70 years, wife of Jacob T. Peachey, died at the Lewistown Hospital 12:30 o’clock, Sunday morning, after a lingering illness of many months.

The deceased is survived by her husband and four sons, namely: Gideon J., Roland E., Jacob of Belleville and Frank, of Lancaster. A son, John, preceeded [sic] his mother in death about nine years ago. One sister and 2 brothers also survive, Mrs. John Hartzler of Zanesville, Ohio; and David of Gap, Pa.

Mrs. Peachey was a member of the Locust Grove Mennonite Church since childhood. She was a loving wife and mother and her entire Christian life was devoted to her family and to all those who learned to know and love her. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Y. Hartzler.

We join with her host of friends in extending our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 9:30 o’clock at the home of the deceased, West Main St., and at 10:00 o’clock in the Locust Grove Church. Interment was made in the church cemetery.

Services were conducted by Preachers Sam T. Yoder and Jonas D. Yoder. — Belleville Times.
