text of obituary:

Mrs. Margaret Pauls,

nee Wiens was born August 29, 1902, near Inman, Kansas. She was converted in 1920. On the 24th of May of the same year she was baptized upon her confession of faith and her desire by Elder Klass [sic Klaas] Kroeker and was received as member of the Bethel Church, whose member she remained unto her end.

We were united in marriage on the 27th of November, 1924. This was however only for a short period, the entire time being only 1 year, 6 months and 25 days. To our great joy a daughter was born on May 18, 1926. This joy was only very brief, however, since she received conviction on the 22 of May that she would die. She expressed her willingness to go. She bade farewell to me, my parents and her mother. Then her father was called. When he arrived, she said, “Papa if you had been here, I could have died.” My three sisters and Jesus were here to take me home. Jesus also had a crown for me. On the following day she bade farewell to her brothers and sisters and said, “I shall soon go home now.”

She reached the age of 23 years, 9 months and 27 days.

She leaves to mourn her for us too early departure me, her husband, one daughter, Esther, parents, 4 sisters, 5 brothers and many friends. We mourn however not as such who have no hope but trust that she has gone to see that which she believed and for which she expressed such a deep longing.

Husband and daughter.

Funeral services were conducted at the Bethel church last Sunday afternoon. Rev. Klaas Kroeker officiated and was assisted by Rev. John Esau, A.G. Ensz and P.T. Neufeld.
