MRS. HELEN PATRICK

Helen Unruh Patrick, daughter of Kornelius and Anna Funk Unruh, was born May 13, 1882, in Goessel, Kans., Marion county, and passed away September 2, 1949, at the age of 67 years, three months and 20 days.

She became ill July 11, 1949, and it became necessary to take her to the Bethel Deaconess hospital July 23, 1949. She passed away due to a heart ailment.

She was baptized May 26, 1901, in the Alexanderwohl church, by Elder Peter Balzer.

She was married to William Lawrence Patrick Sr. of Portland, Ore., December 13, 1908, at Goessel, Kans. They lived together for over 32 years. He preceded her in death November 26, 1941. They were blessed with eight children, three of whom have preceded her in death, Earl Thomas, Ruby Ellen, and William Lawrence Jr.

She leaves her bereaved children, one daughter and four sons. They are: Mrs. Leonard (Lillian) Rogers, Bertrand James, and Glenn Lee, all of Newton, Kans., Nell U. of San Francisco, Calif., and Ernest William of Oruro, Bolivia, South America.

She also leaves 12 grandchildren, (three preceded her in death); four sisters, Mrs. Anna Harms of Newton, Mrs. I. B. (Agnes) Fast, Mrs. P. J. (Katie) Schmidt, both of Goessel, and Miss Mary Unruh of Great Bend, Kansas.; two brothers, Dan F. Unruh, and Henry F. Unruh, both of Newton; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Cornelius F. Unruh of Newton.

Her parents, one sister, and one brother preceded her in death.

Our mother has lived all of her life in Goessel and Newton, Kans. except for four years which she spent in Portland, Oregon.

She was a kind and loving mother. She entered into the faith as a Jehovah's Witness and was baptized at Wichita, Kans., September 20, 1949. — The Children.
