RECOVER BODY OF JET TRAINER PILOT IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

Altona, Manitoba. — Relatives here received word that the body of Flt. Lt. Burton H. Patkau was found near Squamish, British Columbia on Jan. 24, 10 days after the RCAF jet trainer he was piloting collided with another plane at 14,000 feet. Another airman, 19, was killed while two others survived.

The young man was studying for his doctor's degree in mathematics at the University of British Columbia. Survivors include his wife and little daughter, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Patkau of Windsor, Ont., and grandparents, Abram D. Patkaus of Gretna, Man.
