VIOLET CAROL PANKRATZ

Violet Carol Pankratz, daughter of Henry and Olga (Schmidt) Pankratz, was born July 8, 1947 at the Bethesda Hospital at Goessel, Kansas.

She was not a strong and healthy baby, which caused the parents much concern. On February 2, 1948 she became sick of pneumonia, from which she totally recovered.

Violet brought much joy into the home, and everything was done to keep her healthy and to give her the motherly care that she needed. However, on March 5, 1948 she became ill and was immediately taken to the hospital but died on the way to the doctor’s office.

Her death came suddenly and unexpectedly as result of intra-peritoneal hemorrhage. She reached the age of seven months, 27 days.

We loved her dearly but Jesus loved her more. Therefore we want to say, “The Lord hath given and the Lord hath taken away." May the name of the Lord be praised also through her death.

She leaves to mourn her sudden departure her deeply sorrowing parents, four sisters, Evelyn Marie, Ruth Ann, Betty Jane, Joyce Faye, and one brother Eldon Roy. (One sister also died in infancy.)

The surviving grandparents are John M. Pankratz and Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Schmidt.

Funeral services were held at the Bergen Funeral Home at 1:00 o’clock and the Alexanderwohl Church at 2:00 o’clock in charge of Rev. P. A. Wedel. — The Family.
