GRAVEL PIT CLAIMS LIFE OF 21-YEAR-OLD WINNIPEG GIRL.
Winnipeg, Man. — The waters of a gravel pit near here claimed the life of 21-year-old Susan Pankratz, who drowned while in swimming with five companions on Aug. 19. The body was recovered some hours later in 30 feet of water.
The daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Pankratz of Winnipeg, Susan was a member of the Sargent Ave. Mennonite Church where she served as pianist.
