ADELLA S. OYER

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 29, 1964 in the Evangelical Mennonite Church of Bluffton, Ohio for Mrs. Adella Oyer, 63, of 115 S. Lawn Avenue, Bluffton, who died on Nov. 27, 1964 after an illness of five months.

A public school teacher for 37 and one-half years, Mrs. Oyer had been unable to teach her classes at the Bluffton elementary school this year. She was a member of the National Education Association, the Ohio Education Association, the Bluffton Education Association, the Education and Professional Women's club, the Evangelical Mennonite Church and its missionary society.

Born Dec. 6, 1900, in Bluffton, she was the daughter of Noah F. and Susan (Gerig) Steiner. She was married to Rev. Amos Oyer, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Ethelyn) Rice of Medina, Ohio, Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Schumacher of Farmington, Mich., Mrs. Ray (Alice) Niswander of Route 2, Bluffton; sons, Dr. Robert Oyer of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Dr. Herbert Oyer of East Lansing, Mich.; sisters, Mrs. Albert Oyer and Mrs. Karl Gierman of Bluffton, Mrs. Harry Bertsche of Archbold, Ohio, and Mrs. Alma Jorg of Delaware, Ohio; brothers, Nelson of Bluffton and Stanley of Farmington, Mich.; and 11 grandchildren.
