EARL OSWALD

Earl Oswald was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ben Oswald on May 20, 1930, near Beemer, Nebr. He grew to young manhood and received his education, including one year of high school, in and around Beemer.

In 1942 he was baptized and received into the membership of the Plum Creek Mennonite church. He spent most of his short life helping his father on the farm. Being of a pleasant disposition, he will be greatly missed in the home and in the community.

On August 2 he became ill, which illness developed into infantile paralysis. All was done that could be done for him but the Lord saw best to call him home on August 10, 1946.

On August 12 a private funeral was held at the home and a public service conducted at the cemetery by Bro. Dan Birky. Pall bearers were six of Earl's cousins: Boyd and Gerald Schantz, Sammie, Jr., Ralph, Kenneth and James Oswald. Interment was made in the Beemer cemetery.
