MRS. LEO. H. OSBOURN

Mrs. Mathilda Aganetha Dirksen Osbourn, daughter of Peter H. and Aganetha Krause Dirksen, was born March 27, 1912 at Goessel, Kansas. Later she moved to McPherson county with her parents where she spent her childhood days and grew to womanhood. She received her education in the South Bloomfield school and Moundridge High School.

July 5, 1927, she was baptized on confession of her faith in Jesus Christ by Rev. P. P. Buller and became a member ro the Goessel Mennonite church where she retained her membership till the day of her departure.

She was united in holy wedlock with Leo H. Osbourn on June 23, 1938, and was privileged to share with her husband the joys and sorrows of life for nearly 17 years. To this union was born one daughter, Pamela Jane. Her father and an infant sister preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her early departure her bereaved husband, her daughter, Pamela, her mother, Mrs. P. H. Dirksen of Newton, her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Osbourn of Manhattan, three sisters, four brothers, four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and many relatives and friends.

She was a loving wife and mother, and enjoyed fair health until about five years ago, when she found it necessary to submit to surgery at the Bell Memorial hospital at Kansas City, Kansas. Since that time her health had failed and she was forced to spend a great deal of her time in bed, and was often in the hospital. In spite of the best medical care and the loving care of the nurses and relatives, she went to be with her Lord Jan. 29, 1955. She reached the age of 42 years, 10 months and 28 days.
