OLDEST RESIDENT OF BLUFFTON, OHIO, RECENTLY CALLED AWAY IN DEATH

Bluffton, Ohio. — Funeral services were held here for Mrs. Elizabeth Oberly, 96, Bluffton's oldest resident, at the Diller Funeral Chapel Monday afternoon March 8. She died on March {sic line repeated in original] of 140 E. Sherry St.

She was the daughter of Peter and Anna Gerber and was born at Dalton, Ohio, September 5, 1946. She was married to Peter Oberly March 17, 1870, at Dalton, Wayne county. He preceded her in death in 1902.

A long time resident of Bluffton, she is survived by three sons and two daughters, levi and Wm. of Bluffton and Gideon of Lafayette; Mrs. Melinda Hall of Mt. Vernon, O., and Mrs. Wm. Stettler of Lima.

She was a member of the St. Johns Mennonite church near Pandora. Rev. J. N. Smucker of the First Mennonite church here officiated. Burial was at the St. John's cemetery.
