ELEANOR LOIS OBERHOLZER

Eleanor Lois Oberholzer, Maugensville, Md., was born on Oct. 1, 1947 in Waynesboro, Pa. to Walter and Mary (Keener) Oberholzer. She entered her home in Glory on Aug. 6, 1962 at the age of 14 years, 10 months, six days. Eleonor [sic Eleanor] had accepted Christ and was baptized in the spring of 1962. Shortly before she left us she asked Jesus to take her.

Even though Eleanor was never as strong as some children, she was seemingly in good health with the eagerness of youth. When she seemed to show signs of fatigue, we took her to a doctor who eventually entered her at the hospital for observation on July 28. Death was due to chronic nephritis which had been coming on slowly for a long time.

Eleanor is missed by her parents, one brother, Nelson, her maternal grandfather, Aaron D. Keener, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Fannie Oberholzer, besides a large number of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She had a quick smile and was a willing helper in the home. She was known by her schoolmates as a “good girl.” We thank Him who gives us our children, for the 14 years she was loaned to us.

The funeral was held Aug. 9 at Salem Ridge Church near Greencastle, Pa., with Bro. J. Irvin Lehman and Glenn Eby in charge. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. — The Family. 1947
