AMOS A. NUSSBAUM

Amos A. Nussbaum was born at Berne, Ind., Nov. 13, 1887, and died May 3, 1957, on the farm West of Kidron, Ohio of a heart attack.

At the age of 15 he moved to this community with his parents. He was baptized at the age of 16 and was a faithful member of the Kidron Mennonite Church.

On Nov. 11, 1909, he was united in marriage to Ella (Pete) Lehman, who passed away October 27, 1921. To this union were born two sons and four daughters.

On Feb. 28, 1924, he was united in marriage to Lydia Falb. This union was blessed with three sons. Surviving are his companion, Lydia, and five sons, Clarence of Dalton, Gilbert of Kidron, Irvin of Walker, Mo., Nathan of Wilmington, Pa. and Delvin of Louisville; three daughters, Elma, Mrs. Reuben Bixler, Lila, Mrs. Zook, and Rosa, Mrs. Loyal Kratzer; 32 grandchi8ldren; three brothers, Sam E., William and Albert A. Nussbaum; and three sisters, Salome, Mrs. David Wyss, Bertha, Mrs. Silas Lehman, Ella, Mrs. Frank Wyss.

Preceding him in death were his first companion, Ella, a daughter Laura, former wife of Lores Hofstetter, a son-in-law, John Zook, three grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.

He was a farmer all his life until he retired eight years ago and moved to his present residence. He was employed at the Kidron Auction for over 30 years.

Funeral services were held at the Kidron Mennonite Church May 6 with Reuben Hofstetter, Allen Bixler, and Isaac Zuercher officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
