Pennsylvania Bicyclist Dies in Auto Accident

New Holland, Pa. — Seventeen-year-old Aaron H. Nolt died Oct. 5 of severe head and internal injuries suffered when he was struck by a car about 13 hours earlier.

Police said Nolt was riding his bicycle along a township road with four other bicyclists, one of whom was treated and released from Ephrata Community Hospital, when the accident happened.

The youths were struck when for an unknown reason the car, driven by Bruce Gingrich, Lititz, crossed from the southbound into the northbound lane.

Nolt is survived by his parents, Aaron S. and Anna Mary Hoover Nolt, eight brothers and sisters and paternal grandparents. Funeral services were held at the home and at New Holland Frame Mennonite Church, with Bishop Harry Martin officiating.
