DANIEL W. NOFZIGER

Our father, Daniel W. Nofziger was born near Pettisville, Ohio on the first day of April, 1871, and peacefully fell asleep on the 19th of April, 1958, after having reached the age of 87 years and 18 days. He was the last of a family of 12 children to answer the heavenly summons, and had expressed his readiness to go to his heavenly Father on several occasions.

On Nov. 15, 1894, he was united in marriage to Julia King. Together they walked the pathway of life, sharing the joys and sorrows for over 63 years.

They were blessed with five children: Harley, of Archbold; Walter, of Toledo; Rollin [sic Rowlin], who passed away at the age of 10 in 1918; Orville of Fostoria; and Dorothey [sic Dorothy], Mrs. Earl Roettger of Toledo.

His entire life was lived in the community in which he was born, his occupation being a thresher, contractor and farmer, until retirement.

Father had a deep and abiding concern for mother and the children. He had a sense of humor, was kind, considerate and left us an example in the exercising of patience. He was a member of the Pettisville Missionary Church where he faithfully attended, serving in various capacities, giving his moral, spiritual and financial support to the activities of his church until his health failed a few years ago.

He is survived by his companion, three sons, one daughter, 10 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and the many friends he made during his life.
