. . .

— An automobile collision in Newton at six p.m. last Saturday resulted in the death of Eugene Noel, 16 year old high school student. Noel's car was hit by another car driven by Jewell McConnel, another high school student of about 17 years. The injured boy suffered a fractured skull and passed away in a local hospital on Easter Sunday morning. Today a jury found young McConnel guilty of "culpable negligence" in connection with the accident. Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, "Life is not so short but that there is always time for courtesy," which is especially needful in this day of speeding automobiles.
