Retired Minister Dies At Bloomfield, Iowa

SERVICES FOR REV. MENNO NISWANDER HELD AT PULASKI, IA. CHURCH

Pulaski, Iowa. — Funeral services for Rev. Menno Niswander, 80, retired minister of the General Conference Mennonite church, were conducted Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 16, at the Pulaski Mennonite church.

Rev. Niswander, a former pastor of the Pulaski congregation, died Dec. 14 in the Davis County hospital following a heart attack. For the past year he and his wife had made their home with a daughter, Mrs. E. S. Baughman, southeast of Bloomfield.

Surviving in addition to the daughter and his wife, Louise, are two other daughters, Mrs. C. H. Kliever of Santa Ana, Calif. and Mrs. H. C. Latham of La Mesa, Calif.; one son, Paul, of Concord, Calif.; a brother, Calvin, and two half sisters, Mrs. Metta Niswander and Mrs. Earl Scritchfield, all of Upland, Calif.

Rev. Niswander was born Dec. 26, 1878 in Putnam county, Ohio, the son of David and Barbara Niswander.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Earl Salzman of Flanagan, Ill. and Rev. Myron Krehbiel, present pastor of the Pulaski church.
