Mother and Daughter Fatally Hurt in Pennsylvania Crash

Lancaster, Pa. — A collision on a four-lane highway near hear has claimed the lives of a mother and daughter from Landisville.

Funeral services for Grace Nissley, 50, a practical nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital here, were held Nov. 24 at Erisman Mennonite Church near Manheim. Just a week earlier, Nov. 17, services were held at the same church for her mother, Mrs. Katie Nissley, 77.

On Sunday evening, Nov. 14, Miss Nissley pulled out from a stop sign onto the highway. Her car was hit by another car and completely demolished. Passengers in both cars were rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital, where Mrs. Nissley died three hours later. Her daughter suffered an extensive skull fracture, and died early Monday, Nov. 22.

The husband and father died in 1948. Surviving in the immediate family are five daughters and two sons; Mrs. Earl Landis, Mrs. Samuel Oberholzer, Anna Nissley, Mrs. Weaver Reitz, Mrs. Daniel Hostetter, Wilmer, and Clayton Nissley, Jr.
