MRS. KATHERINE NIKKEL, 84
Mrs. Katherine Nikkel, 84, passed away on June 9, in St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Man. Mrs. Nikkel was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. She was the youngest daughter of John and Susanna Lepp. With her widowed mother and family she moved to Dalmeny, Sask., in 1902. Here she married Peter P. Nikkel in July 1904, spending the pioneering years in Aberdeen and Dalmeny, Sask.
In 1944 they retired and came to live in Winkler, Man. Her husband died in 1953. Her oldest daughter Susie predeceased her in childhood.
She leaves to mourn her passing 2 sons, 3 daughters and 16 grandchildren and an older brother Rev. Jacob Lepp, Dalmeny, Sask.
Funeral services were held in the Winkler M.B. church Saturday, June 13, with Rev. G. D. Pries, Winkler and Rev. J. J. Toews of Winnipeg, officiating.
