AGED PIONEER DIED IN CALIFORNIA

Reedley, Cailf. [sic Calif.], Dec. 7. — Ben-Jamin [sic Benjamin] H. Nikkel, 82 years, 10 months in age, a native of Russia, died at 2;00 Monday morning in the Mennonite Brethen Home for the Aged.

Mr. Nikkel was a member of the Mennonite Brethren church for many years. He was ill for one week, from a stroke, from which he died.

Mr. Nikkel was brought to the Home on August 2, 1942, from Bakersfield. He cam to the United States 32 years ago and to California 14 years ago. Most of that time he lived in the Bakersfield district. — Reedley Exponent.
