Mrs. Marie Quiring Nieman

Mr. and Mrs. Abe Quiring were grieved to receive a message early last Saturday morning telling of the death of their younger sister, Mrs. Connie Nieman, which occurred at Shawnee, Kan., at 4:45 that morning. It was known that her condition was very serious and her sister, Mrs. J. H. Richert of this city and her brother, Dr. Walter Quiring of Hutchinson, had been called to her bedside.

She had suffered an attack of pneumonia resulting in meningitis. That coupled with the birth of an infant son was fatal.

The funeral was held at Shawnee Monday and was attended by Abe of this city, Herman and Oscar of McPherson.

Mrs. Nieman was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Quiring and was one of eight children. She is survived by her husband and by a son years of age and by the little one just born. those of her father's family who are living are her sister, Mrs. J. H. Richert and her brothers, Will, Abe, Herman, Oscar, Dan and Dr. Quiring.

During her girlhood and young womanhood which were spent in Newton she had many friends who mourn with the family n their great loss. She was active in the service of the First Mennonite church and was most popular socially.
