Alvin R. Nickel, 93, of Goessel, died Sept. 5 at Bethesda Home, Goessel. Funeral services were held Sept. 10 at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with Arlin Yoder officiating. Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery. He worked on his parents' farm in rural Hillsboro, on a threshing crew, at Bean Radio in Newton and was a piano technician. He also restored a number of old reed organs. Survivors include one brother, John of Hillsboro.
