LYDIA NEUFELD

Lydia Neufeld of Winnipeg passed away May 18. She was born July 1, 1906 to Isaak and Anna Neufeld in Waldheim, Molotschna, southern Russia. At age 18 she accepted Christ and was baptized. In 1926 the family immigrated to Canada. They settled in Winnipeg, then moved to Altona, Man. She attended high school and then went to Normal School in Winnipeg. She taught for 35 years in Twin Creek, Man., Niverville, Man., Altona and Yarrow, B.C., and for 22 years in Princess Margaret School in Winnipeg. After retirement, she travelled extensively. She is mourned by her brother William, sister Martha Baerg and many nieces and nephews. The funeral was May 16 in North Kildonan MB Church, Winnipeg, with John Epp and John Baerg ministering.
