HARRY C. NEUFELD

Harry C. Neufeld was born to Isaac U. and Tena Neufeld on Jan. 21, 1891, near Newton, Kan. As a young boy, his parents moved to Oklahoma and settled in Fairview, where he attended school.

In his teens, he accepted Christ as personal Saviour, claiming Romans 10:9, 10, which remained precious to him all through his life. He was baptized on April 22, 1906 by Rev. M. M. Just, and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church of which he was a faithful member at the time of his death. His dedication throughout his life was to God and his family. His prayers always expressed one basic desire &#8212 that all his children and grandchildren would experience a personal relationship with Christ as their Saviour.

He made his livelihood on the farm until his retirement in the spring of 1956, when they moved to their present home in Fairview at 220 S. 7th Street. After his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, shuffleboard, caring for his flowers, trees and garden, and vacation traveling to many parts of the nation. His most recent joys included visiting friends in the community.

He enjoyed fair health until his eye surgery in late summer and a recent hospitalization for a heart condition. He quietly and peacefully went to be with the Lord on Nov. 13 at the age of 77 years.

His survivors include his wife Anna of the home; four sons, Marvin, Isaac, and Frank of Fairview, and Orville of Kansas City, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Epp of Enid, Mrs. Alma Schroeder of Fairview, Mrs. Elereeca Toews of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Norma Jean Boehr of Middlesex, New Jersey; 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John of Okeene, Edwin of Salinas, Calif., and Theodore of Mt.
