Mrs. Katherine Neuenschwander (nee Geiger) daughter of John and Elizabeth Geiger was born July 29, 1845, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Steiner, 5½ miles west of Bluffton, Jan. 6, 1929, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 7 days.
She was baptized in the Mennonite faith and remained a faithful servant to her Lord and Master to her death.
She had been failing and in ill health the last three weeks, but was not bedfast until the last two days, when she contracted pneumonia.
She was united in marriage to Isaac Neuenschwander April 15,1869. To them were born ten children. Three: Mrs. Emma Riggenbach, Mrs. Elizabeth Diller and an infant son preceded her in death. Seven children living: Jacob, Elias, David and Salina Neuenschander, Mrs. Caroline Steiner, Mrs. Ella Steiner and Mrs. Lydia Diller. Ten grandchildren are living and one grandson also preceded her in death. — Pandora times.
