JOHN D. NAFZINGER

John D. Nafzinger passed away at his home on East Main St., Belleville, Pa. at 8:15 p. m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1949 after a lingering illness. He was born May 31, 1886, a son of Amos and Elizabeth Hartzler Nafzinger.

Surviving are his wife, Ida Zook, three daughters and a son, Mrs. Urie (Luella) Yoder of Belleville, Mrs. Helen Nafzinger of Harrisburg, Mrs. William (Irene) Collins of Lewistown, and John David Nafzinger of Reedsville; two grandchildren; a mother and sister, A. Thomas Nafzinger of West liberty and Miss Sallie Nafzinger of Belleville.

He was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite church. Funeral services were held from his home Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Harry Kauffman of Mattawanna and Elam Glick, assisted by Rev. Knaul of Belleville. Casket bearers were Samuel Glick, Melvin Zook, Glenn Ressler, Samuel M. Yoder, John D. Yoder, and Avon Yoder.

Those from a distance who attended included Mr. and Mrs. A. Thomas Nafzinger, Mrs. John R. King, and Mrs. Herman Roth from West Liberty, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Shetler and son and Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Shetler and Daniel Shetler from Johnstown, Pa.
