ONTARIO GIRL WHO SUFFERED RARE DISEASE DIED AT AGE 16

Waterloo, Out, — Funeral services were held at the E. E. Nafziger home and at the Erb Street Mennonite church here on April 7 for Ruth Nafziger, 16-year-old daughter of the Nafziger family who suffered throughout her life with a rare bone disease. She passed away at the Kitchener-Waterloo hospital April 7, after contracting pneumonia and measles.

Due to her affliction, she suffered numerous bone fractures, the most recent one last August. She took her elementary school work under a tutor, and later was able to attend classes.

She is survived by her father and a brother, Harry Nafziger. Her mother passed away last September, and a sister, Marion Nafziger, died July 8, 1946 while en route to India to do relief work.
