WILLAM H. MYERS

William H. Myers, 87 died at 3:00 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, in his home northwest of Nappanee, Ind., after an illness of three weeks. He was born May 20, 1861, in Wakarusa, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Davis) Myers. His first marriage, to Anna Clay, took place in 1887. She died in 1895. That same year he married Anna Clouse, who died in 1938.

Surviving is a son, Sherman Myers of Nappanee; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Pattee and Mrs. Olin Baker, both of Elkhart; a stepson, John Clouse of Nappanee; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jesse Pippenger, Nappanee, and two brothers, John B. Myers of Nappanee and Jesse Myers of Elkhart. Other survivors include a half-brother, Charles Myers, of Nappanee; two half-sisters, Mrs. Anna McKee of Gary and Mrs. Jennie Lape of Nappanee; a step-sister, Mrs. Charles Worley of Hartford City, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grand-children.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 31, at the South Union church. Homer North, minister of the North Main Street Mennonite church of Nappanee, of which Mr. Myers was a member, officiated. Burial was made in the South Union cemetery.
