VIRGINIA YOUNG MAN LOSES LIFE IN MILK TRUCK ACCIDENT

Deep Creek, Va. — This community was saddened recently by the tragic death of one of its young men, Eldon Musselman, 24, who was fatally injured in an unusual highway accident near Virginia Beach on July 31.

Mr. Musselman and a colored boy were riding in a milk delivery truck with Henry Zook, en route to Virginia Beach to deliver milk. As customary in this type of truck, the helpers were sitting in the doorway. An oncoming car sideswiped the truck on the side where Mr. Musselman was sitting, ragging [sic] him out of the truck and severely mangling his body. He passed away 15 minutes after entering the hospital.

Funeral services were to be hled at the Deep Creek Mennonite church on Aug. 4, with burial at Fentress. The deceased had been married only a few months ago to Edna Beiler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben H. Beiler.
